The GA Move

So it is official. I will not be in Hawaii for my B-day. I will be movie to GA in Jan. Some stuff has already gone to dear seester. I'm tired of explaining why I am moving so I have started telling people I need more black men in my life, and there just aren't enough in Hawaii. They usually laugh a nervous laugh and leave the topic alone after that.

Computer Update

I took Mac in. The battery is all poop. The display battery they had worked but the only battery they had in stock didn't (surprise!). So I wait as I do with Apple. For them to call. They should have called yesterday (Surprise!). He also told me my logic board is failing and that is why my ethernet doesn't work anymore. The other guy told me it was a bad port. I have a senile computer with defective parts. If only I could stick him in a home.

Hungry Girl vs. Skinny Bitch

The two popular books aimed at women and their eating habits go head to head in GA's kitchen. Who will be victorious?

Name:
I detest the use of bitch in a fun, sassy manner. Period.
Winner: Hungry Girl!

Weight Loss Solutions:
Well Hungry Girl does have some good ideas and slims down many recipes, but she does not actually aim it as weight loss solutions. She says so herself. Skinny Bitch is written by two models who are actually trying to sell a diet book.
Winner: Skinny Bitch!

Recipes:
Both offer favorites in HG or SB manner. SB uses a lot of organic and hard to find items. Additionally, HG uses meat in some of her recipes (and gives the option for meat substitutes). I love meat. SB has a vegan/macrobiotic look on life. I'm sure that is great for some people. I prefer free-range chicken and rare steaks.
Winner: Hungry Girl! (for the carnivores at least)

Price:
HG is a free web publication that also happens to have a book. The book is around $16. SB has two books out. They do not have an online repository of recipes. The cookbook is $10.99 or you can buy both together for $21.33 on amazon.com.
Winner: Hungry Girl!

With a 3-1 score Hungry Girl wins!!! I am cooking the Fiber-ific Fried Chicken Strips and Lord of the Onion Rings tonight. The Lord of the Onion Rings recipe can be found on the back of the Fiber One original cereal box.

Consoladarity

So I have been preparing myself for this move. The big one. Out of Hawaii. Its probably the second biggest move in my life seeing as how I have spent my entire adult life here.

Space-wise i did three MAJOR consolidations:
1. I got a CD folder and put all my DVDs in them. Threw out most of the cases (I still have a few choice ones)

2. Went through my closet and pulld anything I have't worn in a year.

3. Got a 3 ring binder and plastic sheet protectors. Cut up my cooking magazines and cut out all the recipes I wanted to keep. Put them in sheet protectors. Made my own cook book.

Son Of a Motherboard!!!

GARH!!!! Some of you may remember the traumatizing experience I had with Apple, my MacBook, Apple, Apple Genius Bar, Apple Customer Care, The Manager at Satan's Apple Store, Bill Gates, His dog, Cindy in accounting, and the whole Macintosh company (except Curtis). While I like their products I want to kill them all with bio-http://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifweapons....

I get home from the dentist and my hair appointment and what do I find my rebellious MacBook doing? No, Mac wasn't smoking pot or shooting up heroin. No he (and anything with this many problems he expects me to fix must be male) was not turning on unless I have it plugged in. There is a black X over the battery. Not a red one which suggests the battery ran to nothing. NO! A BLACK one which suggests a brutal death of a component and a costly repair. I re-seated the battery. During that process I broke two nails and bent the cheap plastic on the battery lock. I have had the software downloaded for a year. My last resort? A painful, time wasting, money costing, wrinkle inducing visit to the "Genius Bar" at the Apple Store in Purgatory. There is a box where you make your reservation asking you if you would like to tell the over-empowered college students about your problem. I restrained from writing "All work and no play makes Mac a Dull boy" 1000 times.

My appointment is for tomorrow. I will cry. I may kill my mac in frustration. In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to the World Wildlife Fund

Yay Health Week!

I am designating next week "Georgia Health Week!". In this week we will have a dental appointment, an eye appointment, 4 days of gym, and a hair appointment. Quick health question? How many grams of fiber does a woman my age need? How about a man my age? Why is fiber SO important and can you get too much? Answers later!

OH Bobby

So Bobby Brown has been coming into the restaurant for the past couple of weeks. In fact he's eaten there more than I have this week. The other day he came in with his family, there were 8 of them. Their bill was $260. They tipped their server $24. For those of you up on your math, that's around 9%. Unacceptable. I just want everyone to know Bobby Brown is a poopy tipper.

New Yummy Cookbook

I got this cookbook the other day. It is called Hungry Girl. Check it out. It has all sorts of yummy recipes that won't just make you huge. For example, the onion ring recipe in here, for the whole recipe, is less than 200 calories! And it is packed with fiber! YUM!!! The next book I would like is called Little Black Apron.

Starting the Process

So UC Davis requires you to get a sort of bid from a professor to be considered for their program. I am most interested in Dr. Sean Adams. I just don't know what I should say to open dialog. Suggestions?

BTW: register to vote. Republicans win b/c they vote. Democrats usually think some one else will vote for them. You can't complain about who is in office unless you vote!

And So It Begins....

The official deadline for me to leave the rock is Jan 1 2009. Where will I go you ask? Where I get into school. I'm fairly confident this will happen. If it doesn't, I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I've narrowed it down to San Diego State University, UC Davis, and St Louis University. Although I like the San Diego area best, right now I am leaning to UC Davis as a school. It looks more specialized. Well now it is off to the water park!

Frustrations Unlimited!

So on my way back from the mainland, I had to check one of my carry-on bags plane-side because it was a small plane. When I got my bag back at my next destination, my camera was gone out of my camera case. my little pink camera case was closed in my bag, but the camera was nowhere to be seen. I had them check the plane and also had them call the originating airport to see if my camera was there, but it wasn't. I had to file a stolen item report and may possibly get compensation withing the next 2 months. Alas, I have no pics from oct to now and will not have any for a while because the camera is gone. If you have any pics from Halloween (with my amazing Freddy Krueger outfit with the 2 hour make-up job), Lynn's or Heidi's B-day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any time we were out together, it would be awesome if you could send them to me.

This was after coming to the mainland I arrived 7 hours later than I was supposed to sans luggage.

This was after being bumped down from first class with no compensation on a flight.

This is after getting on the airplane and hour an a half late because we were waiting on the crew.

This is after sitting on the tarmac for over an hour.

I felt very sorry for the Northwest customer service rep who had to deal with me. I do not feel sorry for the customer service rep from corporate who is going to call me.

Alas...

Why is Basil the only herb I can keep alive? My sage died, my tobacco, which is usually very hearty, died, and my lemon balm died. Maybe the indoor herb garden by my windwo is best suited for the amazing flowering plants I have and the one odd vine-thing plant I inherited because the herbs are not doing what they are supposed to do. I'm talking about living, I mean heaven forbid they actually grow.

On the plus side we did put a live x-mas tree up this year at my friend's house. We will have our own small Christmas here before we go to the mainland for the main event.

I haven't put up my Christmas decor yet.

Two Unrelated Thoughts...

I think the entire male population has gone completely bonkers. Seriously, if you are crazy, please don't talk to me. And if you haven't tried the Mango Juicy Juice, you are missing out. It's delicious.

O Happy Day

I was listening to my favorite study music, Splashdown, when I noticed something new in my iTunes mini-store. This wonderous new treasure was the "Stars and Garters" album by Splashdown. Remastered.

There is one album I would like to in possession of that was never released... "Possibilities". If anyone has an inkling on where to find it, let me know.

Post note: I found them on this site. all free. all wonderful.

Rain

So I see this wall of rain moving in off the mountain, but I don't know if it's just random rain or Flossie.

Current Weather: Mostly cloudy, humid, muggy, not nice.

Tomorrow

Ok, so they said today was the big day and noooooooooo hurricane. Tomorrow they say. tonight and tomorrow. While we did have high wind and surf advisory, I am more concerned about the high UV index. It's supposed to be 10+ tomorrow.
Current weather: cool, cloudy, breezy

Clean House

One of the most important things to have during a natural disaster is a clean house. I don't know why, but I have been cleaning all today and I say it is an important thing to have. Actually Dave helped me bring my water and food in last night and noticed that there was mold on the celing of the bathroom. I was really compelled to get it off.

My roomies' families are ok (on the big island). They aren't in major hurricane zone. Just getting a lot of rain.

Current weather: Sunny, wispy clouds in sky, breezy, and HOT. UV index at 8 so I am trying to stay inside and cancer free.

Emergency Survival Kit

In any extreme natural disaster situation, you should have an emergency kit. It should look like this

Just add ice.
Your kit should include:
*Water
*Non-perishable food
*Non-electric can opener for canned food
*Battery-powered radio
*Matches and Lighters
*Candles
*Playing cards/board games
*Beer
*Ice
*First-aid kit

Current weather: Windy, clear skies, sunny. A very nice day so far.

Hurricane Preparedness

Yesterday I went to the comissary and bought water, canned veggies and soup, and some other provisions. Today to get ready for the hurricane I am getting batteries, ice, and a flashlight. While I have been in Hawaii, I have experienced a flood, an earthquake, and some tornadoes. The two natural disasters I did not want to be in were tsunami and hurricane. One down...

...But if Hurricane Day is anything like Earthquake Day, it will be a gooooood time.

Current weather- Not a cloud in he sky from my window. Breezy.

Emergency plan

As some of you may know hurricane Flossie is headed this way. I talked is over with Kristen's parents and they said I should let my family know my emergency plan in case it is a bad storm (which it isn't supposed to be). I will be staying at a friend's house who lives more inland than I do the day it is supposed to hit. If I am unable to make it to her house I am just going to stay in my building. If the water starts getting higher than my floor (which I doubt will happen, but I'm not in a tsunami safe floor anymore) I will go higher in the building. That's my plan.

YOURspace.com

So I am at a grand total of 2 Myspace accounts being opened with MY email address without my knowledge. My Myspace isn't even opened with this email address. PEOPLE! Know your own email address!! It isn't that hard!!!! Next time it happens, I'm messing with the account.

Huh...

So here's the big dilemma: For the past four years I have had a very clear goal, graduate from the University of Hawaii. To complete this task I had to obviously remain in Hawaii. Now I HAVE completed it and I feel a little lost. Do I stay or do I go? I know you have read numerous posts about how much Hawaii sucks (and it still has its moments), but I have actually made a semi-good life for myself here. I know I am not going to stay forever, and am wondering if now is the time to leave. If I leave, however, I probably will not come back. Not to live here at least. Additionally, if I leave and don't have a game plan, I run the risk of carting my crap all around the mainland. Now that I don't have a HUGE goal that requires me to stay in Hawaii, I feel more distant from my family, interstate travel, and quality sundries at affordable prices. hmmmmmm.......

NEW APARTMENT!!!

Well, I am now sleeping in my NEW apartment. I still have some of my stuff at the old one, but that will be taken care of this weekend. We got the bed moved out, which is always the most grueling task. Dave came down and helped Tabitha and I move our stuff, so I took both of them out for dinner a Buca di Beppo's. YUM!!! I LOVE the new place and the people I am living with.

YAY!!!!

I DID IT!!! I finished. I now have a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. WOO HOO!!! I don't have the degree in my hand yet, but it should be on its way in 6-10 weeks. I have really enjoyed having everyone here!

Computer Story

Ok. So I don't know if all of you know about my computer story but I just got it back yesterday. Here's the rundown.

April 12~ I have three papers due, one powerpoint presentation, and saturday I have my statewide conference I am in charge of. My computer won't turn on or charge before school. I sit at the Apple store and wait for them to open. The guy opens it up, says it is liquid damage, says it will be $790 and will take about 7-10 days. I said wow, thats steep, but I don't know if I have any other options so ok.

April 29~No computer. March into the Apple store and bitch at three people until I get a manager. They say it is on back order and they re sorry they didn't call me. Yes it will still be $790. I am still upset and won't leave so they tell me I can buy a refreshed macbook (not black like mine) and can return it when I get me computer for the full price. The manager makes the comment "don't spill liquid on it" in a joking manner and I almost bitch-slap her right then.

April 30~Apple recalls the batteries for my computer. The symptoms are not turning on and not charging.

May 1~ I call Apple service center and talk to Curtis to file a formal complaint. He agrees with me it doesn't sound like liquid damage and is not happy with what has happened to me. I tell him I think I am being ripped off. He files the complaint with my Apple store and the service center which has my computer. The same day, some one FINALLY calls me to tell me my computer will be ready the next week. They get the part on Saturday.

May 7~My computer arrives and I return the refreshed MacBook. They tell me they don't refund refreshed computers and I tell them this is extortion, get your manager NOW. I get my money back.

So I have my computer back, they have their computer back. Why am I still pissed off?

On a happy note, people start getting here today!!

One Step Closer

Had my picture taken yesterday. And by the time I got home the pictures were ready to pick up!!! Plus Mu told me the people from the bookstore called and the announcements I ordered Tuesday which are supposed to take a week to make were ready to pick up too!!! I finished one report and have set up a day to finish one of my group projects. I am putting the finishing touches of the Rotaract conference with the help of Chaminade's Rotaract club. Things are coming together!

Graduation

You may have noticed you have to scroll farther down to get to my posts. The graduation countdown has begun, and you all can view it at the top of the page. I will give updates as things progress. Yesterday I got my cap and gown, ordered my announcements, and registered to walk...again (apparently you have to register in about 3 different places). Today I am getting my hair cut in the morning and going straight to the studio. It kind of all just fell in place.

Thursday, February 15, 2007

HI!!!

So I know I've ben gone a while so here's the abbreviated update.
I moved into the new place. It's pretty cool.
I started my internship at the UH Women's Clinic. More on that later.
This is my last semester. I actually have to go into the real world now.
I got older. The big 22. Pictures on flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/xtremegeorgia/
Still with my personal trainer. Have lost 25 lbs since August. I look good!
Still at Bubba's and Vinos. Have been part of the crowd pushing for more healthful options on Bubba menu. Succeeded in my own way by bringing back the plain shrimp with cocktail sauce.
Joined Safety Tem at Bubba's. Mostly for the bigger discount, but also because I love safety.
Eric gets back from Iraq this week in time for the Vanilla Ice concert.
Went to pro-bowl, yay!
Didn't ditch Dave with the truck after he helped me move. I know you all had your fingers crossed.
That's about it for now.

The Gift Giving Season

I'm going to post this here in the assurance somebody will tell somebody else when they say "Hey, What do you think I should get George this year?" and they will tell somebody else and so on and so on. It's my Christmas Wish List!!!
*A haircut*
A gift-card to Wal-mart (the store not Wal-mart.com)
A gift-card to Lush
*A professional haircut*
A gift-card to Ed Hardy (I'm really not holding my breath on this one)
*A New Bra*
A gift-card to iTunes
*A nice haircut*
A gift-card to PayPal
A gift-card to Buca Di Beppo or any restaurant with a location in Honolulu I may eat at
And if you can find a grocery store in my area (Safeway, Foodland, Foodpantry, StarMarket) that will let you buy a gift-card online, that would be AWESOME!! *No Krogers, Publix, Targets, Food Cities, Food Lions here

I just want you all who saw me this summer to know that I have lost a lot of weight and whatever clothes size I wore this summer, I don't wear anymore (well, shirts are still Smalls or small-cut mediums), so clothes are probably not a good idea.

ALSO! I am not paying shipping on Christmas presents this year. I can't afford it. If your present can fit in the standard envelope without making it more than the allowed oz. for $.39, fabulous, you're getting a present. If you are coming to see me before next Christmas, you'll get your present then. If not, then either find some one who IS coming to see me and have them pick it up, or wait till I move back to the mainland (or go without). I will understand if you feel the same about me.

The move

Getting ready to move. I don't like packing. It sucks. Especially since I really can't take any furniture with me. I wish I could just go away, and have my stuff at the new APT when I get back. I really don't think DW would be down for that kind of slave labor, no matter how cute I am. BTW: Check out the new pics on Flickr!

Happy Holidays

As I was on my way to get a smoked salmon bagel this morning, some crazy lady was explaining "You only have yourself in this world, NO ONE ELSE MATTERS!! You are alone!!" to everyone walking by. When she got to me she just looked at me and yelled "F@#K YOU!!!" Happy Holidays from the crazy lady I guess. Every one eat lots of food tomorrow!!!

Grrr....

I am TIRED of NATURAL DISASTERS!!! First a flood, then an earthquake, now more floods and landslides. When will it end?

Spin Cycle This

The other day (Wednesday), I was cleaning my room like a mad woman. As part of cleaning, one MUST do laundry. I did my laundry. Since our dryer doesn't dry our clothes all the way, I went to go put an extra 75 cents in the dryer before my time was up so it would go just a little longer only to find some douchebag had put my clothes on top of the dryer before the time was up. I think I know who it was, and next time they do their laundry, I'm going to open the door, close it, and not restart it. Do it about three times so it wastes their money too.

See, I think (like 85% sure) it is these new neighbors who are SUPER annoying. They play their music really loud during the day which I really can't do anything about since it isn't "quiet hours." I hear it in my apartment about the same level I would play it in my apartment (If I listened to Mariah Carey). PLUS!! I came home on Tuesday to find two of them smoking pot in our stairwell. I have no problem with people who choose to burn, but I say do it in your own home so everyone else doesn't have to smoke pot, too. Additionally, they like to peek in on us all the time. When the power was out, we had out front door open, talking to the resident manager about something, and they were fekking shining their flashlight into our apartment to look at us. Then their friend's car got towed (which it plainly states cars will be towed if not in appropriate spot) and they stood outside my window at 11pm yelling into the parking lot while I was running a 103 degree fever and trying to sleep.

I just had to let it out. They annoy the crap out of me.

Staple Items

From the front page of the Honolulu Star Bulletin on October 16, 2006:
"What started as a lazy rainy Sunday on Oahu became a scramble for essentials, like ice, beer and batteries."
Just think about it. Not water. Not bread. Not rice. Not candles. Man, thank god we had beer already. We might not have made it out alive.

Baby, you rock my world!

So as many of you heard, we had an earthquake yesterday morning. It started as a little rumble and then grew till it knocked stuff off my desk. The power died and, as it was raining all day, we were extremely bored. I comprised a list of things to do when the earth just won't stand still and Civil Defense says "stay inside!":
1. Get in the doorway. In all seriousness, emergency procedures should be top on your list.
2. Get an emergency kit together when you reaize how unprepared you are. Our biggest fear was the water and when the siren goes off, you better know EXACTLY what route you are taking and where you are going.
3. Unpack some of the emergency kit when the threat is over.
4. Find an edible combination of cold canned food.
5. Play scrabble.
6. Put on silly costumes and dance around.
7. Wait half an hour to get INTO the grocery store to buy water.
8. Clean.
9. Read a book.
10. Try to get your phone to work.
11. Start drinking.
12. Take a shower with two bottles of water.
13. Corn-row your hair.
14. Drink some more.
15. SOLITAIRE!!!
16. Cheer LOUDLY when the power comes back on.

Um.....Ew.

I must first disclose that I have a subscription to PlayGirl (lots of shirtless, not as many pantless men). In the Amature section on October's issue, there is a 40-something year old from dear old JC. I had a laugh sesion with the roommmates because damn if that wasn't the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

Boned Again

Campus health care was already so/so, but now the free HIV testing on campus has be done away with. Students without cars now have to go off campus to clinics that are extremely difficult to get to if you don't have transportation. I thought it was a new step in HIV awareness campaign to get younger people to go get tested. It seems a little contradicting to me.

Croikey!!!

A sad day for animal scientists everywhere. Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter, has passed into the great wilderness beyond. Apparently, while filming off the coast of Australia in the great barrier reef, his heart was punctured by a stingray. Of all the things it could have been, I never expected a stingray. I was expecting the "most poisonous something in the world!" or a "huge croc!". Sad day. It's ok to shed a tear.

The U is Silent

My Cultural anthropology teacher says nu-cu-lar and not nu-CLE-ar. It drives me nuts. How do you get to be a person going for their PhD with out pronouncing this word correctly? I can't listen to him. I clench my teeth too much.

And Then There Were None

A chapter in the book of George has come to a close. I have taken the piercings out of my back. I just got tired of people I didn't know coming up and touching me. I mean seriously. It was very FCUKING annoying.

Tsunami Who?

I had a very strange dream last night about a tsunami that hit Waikiki and made its way to my house. There was also a lesbian chef and a strange reporter for Time magazine who also happened to be a car salesman.

Well, the tsunami part got me thinking. I live at sea level about a mile in from the ocean. MAybe I live 10 ft. above sea level. At most. When the earthquake occured off Tonga, Oahu was placed under a tsunami warning. This is where I got concerned. The warning was only anounced on the news at super early in the morning once. The little tsunami siren we have which could wake up Jesus indicates you turn to the am station and listen for the weather announcements. I didn't know about it until I woke up and the warning had been lifted. It didn't go off. I asked Kristen about it later that day and she told me they don't crank that sucker until the water on the shore is retreating in a threatening manner. Now, we are over due for a hurricane or a tsunami or some major ocean related natural disaster by at least 10 years. Don't you think it would be a good thing to have an earlier warning system, especially somewhere as populated as the state of Hawaii, namely Oahu? I mean, nothing happened this time but it could have and we wouldn't have had time to move up the mountain.

PS~ I never had tsunami nightmares until I moved here.

AMAZING!!!

I forgot to water my plants for four days and I thought they were goners. I watered them yesterday before school and by the time I got home, they were lush and perky again. AMAZING!

That's my news... What's yours?

Respect for America's Fallen Heroes Act

So here's the short version. Disgusted by the picketing of soldiers funerals by the Westboro Baptist Church, Congress passed the "Respect for America's Fallen Heroes Act". Basically you can't hold demonstrations within 300 ft. of the entrances to our national cemetaries 1 hour before of after a fallen soldier's funeral. Penalties include up to 1 year in prison and a $1,000 fine.

I have discussion questions for this for my speech project as I am presenting this for my current events project. I got four of them easily, but had trouble with two of them. Tell me what you think.

Discussion questions:
1. Do you think Congress's decision to prohibit demonstrations at military funerals at national cemeteries is a violation of the First Amendment?
2. If Congress passed an act designed to protect fallen soldier's funerals, do you think all funerals should be protected?
3. Do you think messages such as the Westboro Baptist Church's should be protected under the First Amendment?
4. Do you think the Westboro Baptist Church would have had such an impact with their message if the government had left them alone?
5. The WBC has very focused religious beliefs which include a message which is offensive to the majority of the populace. Do you believe the Act has gray area in protecting some for religion while prohibiting others from practicing theirs?
6. Do you think the penalties for picketing at soldier’s funerals will stop groups who are as radical as this group is?

Tiles

I noticed this morning my bathroom tiles don't really have a pattern. I mean, they have the little circle thingys, but the the way the circles are arranged are not in a pattern. It bothers me a little.

So...

So my boss always asks me to sit on her lap when we are drinking together and tells me how threesomes are fun. Her boyfriend is always asking me about my sexual preferences and if I have any weird sex habits (because I work at two separate jobs with each of them). Should I be concernacous?

It's Harder to Get Alcohol Now That I'm 21

Since I've turned the ripe old age of 21, I have found it to be increasingly difficult to go into clubs or buy alcohol. I got used to the people saying "pull your hair back and smile" or some variation of that. I have gotten worse though. I gat twenty questions from one bouncer at a college bar on why I don't have a Hawaii DL. He mad me step to the side and wasn't going to let me in. Today at the grocery store I was buying my tequilla when the lady says to me "It doesn't match the liquor book, but my manager said it was ok." I mean, WTF? Is this normal? Has anyone else experiened being refused service because somebody with a power trip thought your DL was fake? I'm checking mine against our liquor book at work tomorrow to see what is up. It's starting to piss me off.

There's Only One Georgia

Soooo... The Advertising slogan generator. Fun times. Try it. I've gottn fun things like "Happiness is a Cigar Called Cock" and "Absolut Georgia". Also fun times I've gotten are "The Georgia effect", "Ding-Dong! Georgia Calling!", "Wait Till We Get Our Georgia On You.", and "Feel the Georgia." Try it. Have a good time. Just don't waste TOO much time.

Fun PETA Story

I know some of you are familiar with how much I love (loathe)People Emulating Toad's Arses, I would like to share my recent encounter. The encounter today, with a lone guy on campus with a poster and a megaphone. This crazy fucker was sitting there saying how the labs on campuses do vivisection and how all the animal research on campus is morally and ethically wrong. Just terrible. No anethesia. At all. Live, conscious dissection.
I don't know about his friends, but this guy with the megaphone has NEVER been in either research lab on campus where there are animals (there are two). The people in the animal science department have been in both. Now unless we've suddenly bypassed all the regulations we HAVE to go through to get approval to do research on campus, which includes organizations that monitor the care and treatments of animals, this "research is not happening. Personally I think some of the activists on campus just got bored and decided to protest about something and decided to "stop animal research on this campus". And get rid of the animal science program and lots of money into the university. I mean, where do they think we get veterinarians from?

Rusty Spikes SUCK

So we were rectally palpating cows (exactly what it sounds like) when I jumped off the fence onto a strategically places rusty gate spike impaling my right ass cheek. Since my last tetanus shot was in 1991, I got one on Monday. In case you forgot your last tetanus shot, THEY SUCK! My left arm is now so sore I can hardly lift it let alone do anything useful with it. I would like to share with your some fun facts about tetanus.

FUN FACTS!

Tetanus is caused by an anaerobic bacteria, Clostridium tetani. The bacteria does not normally pose a problem to us because we live in an oxygenated world. RUST causes oxygen to be bound and forms a very nice anaerobic environment for the bacteria. Additionally, punctures are the best growth environment for the bacteria because scrapes are exposed to oxygen.

The first noticeable signs of tetanus are convulsive spasms of skeletal muscle. These are usually deep and painful. Eventually a tightening of the muscles occur causing the characteristic lockjaw effect. Symptoms are acute and often fatal.

Records from 5th century BC contain descriptions of tetanus, but it was Carle and Rattone in 1884 who first produced a case by infecting animals with pus from a fatal human case. Animal cases were reproduced by soild in 1889.

A passive vaccine was produced in 1897 and used on soldiers in World War I. Tetanus toxoid, the common vaccine, was produced in 1924 and first widely used in WWII.

Although the bacteria is sensitive to heat and cannot survive in oxygen, the spores are resistant to antibiotics, heat (icluding steam autoclaving), and many chemical agents.

The spores are often found in the bowels of most domesticated animals including, but not limited to, horses, cattle, cats, and dogs. The spores are also often found in manure treated soil and contaminated heroin.

The bacteria produces two exotoxins, tetanolysin and tetanospasmin. Tetanospasmin is the neurotoxin that manifests the physical symptons of tetanus. Per weight,it is one of the most deadly toxins, requiring only 2.5 nanograms/kg body weight to be fatal. The function of tetanolysin is not yet known.

The Tetanus toxoid vaccine is a series of 3 or 4 (depending on age) Td, Tdap, DTaP or DT shots. They are given with diptheria vaccine. After the series of 3 or 4 shots, a booster is needed every 10 year. Most series are given in children by DTaP or DT by the age of 18 mo. After age 7, vaccines should be given as Tdap or Td.

Side effects of the vaccine are local aching, swelling, stiffness, and arthritic type pains. Occasionally fever and systemic pains may occur. Rare effects are muscle wasting and severe systemic reactions.

FUN THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT REACTING WELL TO YOUR TETANUS SHOT!!

Watch Star Trek: The Next Generation for four hours in a row.

Write stupid fact sheets on Tetanus.

Talk to your plants (by the way, all my plants except the catnip are doing VERY well).

Thing about ways to get more whole wheat into your diet.

Look stupid at your aerobics class because you can't move your left arm during kickboxing.

Organic Chemistry.

Make celery sticks.

Eat celery sticks.

Call mom and talk about how if polio made a comeback, dear seester would be ok because she got vaccinated but I probably wouldn't be because I probably didn't get the vaccine.

Talk about the recent outbreak of mumps as well.

Also have a talk about the guy that just died of flesh eating bacteria. Another woman is sick and they are saying it probably isn't from all that raw sewage they pumped into the Ala Wai which goes straight into the ocean. Ok, right, whatever.

Comment My Foot

Dear seester, could you please change the comments on my blog to a system that works? Or tell me how? I'll do something that makes you icky, like clean up something bloody or pussing. Like a dead body. Have any dead bodies you need disposed of?

Comment My Foot

Dear seester, could you please change the comments on my blog to a system that works? Or tell me how? I'll do something that makes you icky, like clean up something bloody or pussing. Like a dead body. Have any dead bodies you need disposed of?

No $hit

Ok. I know this is like a no duh moment, but seester has a link to a article about pot smoking inhibiting intellect. I know most intelligent people would say in a sarcastic manner "no shit?". Well, my neighbor had a visitor in town who, when around somebody who had given up pot and was lighting up a cigarette, she said "I would rather smoke pot than tobacco because cigarettes just kill your lungs." Apparently she would rather kill her lungs and her brain at the same time.

Gmail chats

I have a fairly popular email address theme. I know this because I always have to spell mine differently, add underscores, or add numbers when I want the name on other sites. I got the goods on gmail and I'm very happy with it. Some chick named Elisabeth, apparently, has an address very close to mine. There is a person who keeps trying to contact her. I've tried to tell them I am not her, but they won't listen. Since gmail added chat, I finally got my first chat with this person who won't listen. I'd like to share it with you. *I changed her last name, but you'll get the idea.

THEM: hi
ME: hi
THEM: hello elisabeth how are you?
ME: this isn't elisabeth. i think you have the wrong address
THEM: yeah i bet you aren't elisabeth just as much as i'm not sharin
i mean sharon
ME: no. i'm serious. my name is georgia. i live in hawaii. and i am definately not elisabeth
THEM: hahahahaha
ME: look. i don't know how to make this any more clear. you have the wrong email address. perhaps you missed an underscore or something. look. this is my website if you don't believe. www.georgiahawaii.blogspot.com
the contact info is this email address
THEM: ok sure elisabeth quit joikng will ya?
ME: no. really. i am not elisabeth. i don't even know who you are. you really do have the wrong address.
THEM: sharon johnson* with the e-mail my idiot brother set up
ME: yeah, i know. i got the email. ever wonder why she never responded? because she didn't get it. don't feel bad though, i get mislabled emails all the time, people forget an underscore or a number and i get it
THEM: um.......
ME: did you go to the website?
THEM: no
ME: try it. it's my blog.
i don't know how to prove to you i am not elisabeth any more than i have
THEM: okay sure sometime or an other hey how is luther

And then I blocked them because they are an idiot.

Thank YOU Chuck Norris

These are Fact about Chuck Norris that are usually overlooked.

Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried. Ever.

Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits.

The chief export of Chuck Norris is pain.

Chuck Norris has counted to infinity. Twice.

There is no chin behind Chuck Norris' beard. There is only another fist.

There is no theory of evolution, just a list of creatures Chuck Norris allows to live.

Chuck Norris is the only man to ever defeat a brick wall in a game of tennis.

If you spell Chuck Norris in Scrabble, you win. Forever.

Chuck Norris sold his soul to the devil for his rugged good looks and unparalleled martial arts ability. Shortly after the transaction was finalized, Chuck roundhouse kicked the devil in the face and took his soul back. The devil, who appreciates irony, couldn't stay mad and admitted he should have seen it coming. They now play poker every second Wednesday of the month.

Chuck Norris built a time machine and went back in time to stop the JFK assassination. As Oswald shot, Chuck met all three bullets with his beard, deflecting them. JFK's head exploded out of sheer amazement.

When Chuck Norris jumps into a lake, he doesn't get wet, the water gets chuck

Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter he grew a beard.

Chuck Norris can make a woman climax by simply pointing at her and saying "booya".

Chuck Norris's girlfriend once asked him how much wood a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. He then shouted, "HOW DARE YOU RHYME IN THE PRESENCE OF CHUCK NORRIS!" and ripped out her throat. Holding his girlfriend's bloody throat in his hand he bellowed, "Don't fuck with Chuck!" Two years and five months later he realized the irony of this statement and laughed so hard that anyone within a hundred mile radius of the blast went deaf.

BAD IDEA

It is very bad idea to spend your 21st birthday at your plac of employment. They comped about $50 worth of alchy for me. And then asked me to work (I'm on a leave of absense) next Saturday. I was drunk by 10:00. Here are some instant messages I left for ppl.

To SEESTER: noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

To a Childhood friend: irs my birthdat. i'm 21 today. they boutrght me shouts at work. word

To another Childhood Friend: big bad to eat at the restaueant u work at on your big 21. make you fruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunk

and then I had an argument with Smarterchild about how cock is a male chicken. Apparently the programmers of this AIMbot have a dirty mind. It kept telling me to stop cursing and directed me to adult sites.

WOO HOO!!!

So I got the last set of new piercings on my back. I haven't gotten the two repierced because he thinks it will be a good idea for the scars to be less visible when he doe do it. Enjoy the photos. Ask questions. Questions are good.

BTW: The only time it REALLY hurt today was during aerobics. Thank God today we did arms and not abs at the end. We did arms to techno Annie Lennox. Amazing.

It Was All a Lie

So this researcher in South Korea, Dr Hwang, published cutting edge articles on stem cell lines he and his lab had created. In fact, he fabricated 9 out of 11 data on those. They split cells instead of cloned them. Now I find that insulting. As a research assistant, I find it degrades the public's opinion on all cutting edge research, including valid research coming out of hard work. He said his lab felt pressured. I still find it is no excuse. I don't know. It's late here and I'm begining to get loopy and angry. I should stop. But seriously. It pisses me off.

ONE DOWN!!

Sixteen to go!! The first week of the second semester of my junior year in college is done. I gotta tell you, it has been a little shakey. First I find my first class on MWF has been cancelled for the semester. That leaves Organic Chemistry 2 as my first class on those days. I also have labs on those days as well. I do, however, have some interesting classes! Aerobics, Reproduction and Artificial Insemination, and Aquaculture production. I'm really looking forward to the Repro lab. I'm goingto learn how to palpate a uterus. Oh, and we get to use the electroejaculator. Fun times to be had by all!!

If I could say only one word...

...it would be ow. I haven't actually done too much physical activity lately besides waiting tables. I started taking aerobic Tues and Thurs at 7:30 in the a.m. OW! Even my ribs hurt. Ow...

Bored

You'd never think Hawaii could be so boring. But it is...oh it is.

Just In Case

Just in case anybody needs a good idea on what to get me for my big 2-1, here are some.

1. Gift certificate to Wal-Mart, T-Shirt Hell, Tower Records, or iTunes.
2. Waiting on DVD.
3. Pay a visit to me.
4. Pay for my cab home.
5. Pay for my drinks.
6. Make sure I get home and not with some ugly guy. It's ok if they are in a wheelchair, just as long as they aren't fat, hairy, boring, psychotic, or ugly (plus my usual standards).
7. Take me to see a scary movie.
8. Take me to get a tattoo or piercing.
9. A set of chains for my restraint set.
10. Another whip.

Thanks for listening.

New Years Fun

New Years in Hawaii. Happy 2006 everyone. Unfortunately, I was a little toasty and forgot to take pictures. Here is the verbal turn of events:
20:15- Get off work
21:15- Get to friend's house showered and changed. Tried to catch up. Catching up is a bad idea.
22:45- Get to club, have more drinks. Gave a guy in a wheelchair a lap dance because all the other girls in the club we too stuck up to dance with him. IT was only a lap dance because he ouldn't stand up. He was cute, just his legs didn't work.
0:00- Wached fireworks in Waikiki

The next morning....
Made ribs, yum, and did NADA all day. Got that? NADA!!!!

A Tropical Christmas

So this Christmas I was stuck in the big HI. I got VERY depressed X-mas eve and X-mas morning because I was all alone. So X-mas morning I started drinking with breakfast. Yum. Then people came over. We drank together. Then we went to the beach and decided we were going to go on a Christmas adventure. After dinner, D and I got dressed in our wildest X-mas costumes. A couple of my guy friends came over and we got to the adventure. Things we did (most of this was fashioned after Elf because we watched it drunk):
1) Answered our phones "Hi, this is ________. What's your favorite color?"
2) Complimented EVERYBODY we encountered.
3) Tried to go through a revolving door. Matt took a running start and found it was locked.
4) Got egg-nog milkshakes from Jack-in-the-Box.
5) Played with the fake pagoda outside of the Todai restaurant.
6) Played with the penguins at the Hilton.
7) Sat on the beach at the Hilton and left when a crazy guy came up to us, told us not to get in the water, and asked us creepy questions.
8) Ended up back at Jack-in-the-Box.
9) Crashed at my house.
10) Spent $200 on a dress the next day. Not bad. It was $100 off.

By the way, unless your name is mom or dad, thanks for not calling me on Christmas. I recieved two *2* phone calls all day. Mom and dad. That was it. Ass.

HALLOWEEN PICS!!!

Here they ARE! The long awaited Halloween pics!!! We'll start nicely and end scandalously. FIRST!!! We have the trio of George the nun, Pete pirate, and D the lightshow!!! This was the middle of my second party of the night and I was downhill from there. Next we have George and Bobby, the super hot John Cena (sidenote: he called me while I was at work. Ooh, just look at those pecks!!) Thirdly is the picture of George's objective for the night. Get pic with HPD. Lastly is the pic with a whole lotta a$$. This a$$ guy is in my first period class, but this has been the only time we hung out. Nice costume, eh? Everybody tried taking my whip, but he actually suceeded!!! Props to him!!!

Any...

Any good movie recommendations? I just got Netflix.

Highlights of Halloween

My costume was a nun with a black and silver three-chained choker with crosses. Gartel belt, thigh-highs with bows on them, short skirt, dark eyeliner, crosses painted on fingernails, mary-janes, cat-o-nine tails.

HIGHLIGHTS!!!
1) Pre-partied. Answered the door for the pizza guy in costume slightly buzzed.
2) Lost my driver's license. Got the # of my employment application at Vino/Hiroshi to renew on-line (was about to expire anyways).
3) New digital camera stopped working. You can't see the pictures, but you can see old pictures. I think it is a lens problem, not a monitor problem. I have to somehow get to Circuit City in Pearl City to get it serviced.
4) First group of friends left, met with new group of friends for mid-night party.
5) Got my picture taken with HPD.
6) Japanese asked me and my friend D to take pics with them.

That's about it.
Pics will come after I get them from friends.

Tipping: NOT a City in China

As a waitress I have a few things to explain to my generation on the art of tipping. A few rules on what is ok and what isn't.

1) Well start with the most basic, incase you are from another country or just never learned. 15-20% of your bill before discounts and taxes is standard to tip in the United States. (20% should be standard for good service)

2) Remember, your server is human. If they make a mistake (mess up your order, spill your drink), don't take it out of the tip. The only time to take out tip from them is if they are rude or ignore you after they make that mistake and don't fix it right away.

3) If you are buddies with a server or a manager and get a lot of free food, even if you don't see it on your bill, tip your server over 20%. It's rude to accept free gifts without showing some sort of gratitude.

4) 10% is not a good tip. Neither is 14%.

5) Back to the before discounts. Usually the original price and the discounted price will be shown on the tab. Your server gets taxed and tipshares on the original price. Don't be cheap and tip off the discounted price. (It's the same concept as the free food). This also applies to gift certificates.

6) It is embarrassing to have your friends come into your restaurant and leave crappy tips. Everybody will hate you.

7) If your server is busy, and somebody else fills your drink or brings your food, don't dock it from the tip. It's called teamwork. We, as a whole, are there to serve you.

8) Servers remember good tippers (and the bad ones).

9) It is ok to leave more $$ on top of an auto-grat. Look at the percentage (some are 15% some are 17%) and decide if your service was good enough for more (remember 20% for good service).

10) Don't take kitchen errors out of tips.

*Other restaurant etiquette*
1) DO NOT try to order alcohol under age of for under age people. I don't care if you are the parents, the server could get $10,000 in fines on top of the restaurant losing its liquor license and having to pay more fines.
2) Don't get pissed when we won't serve you.
3) Don't argue with us about liquor laws. It's out of our hands.
4) Don't complain about something and then not let us fix it (wrong order, won't let us make you something new, pay for it and leave pissed when we could have helped you). That's stupid. We make mistakes. we can fix them.
5) Don't change your order after the server has rung it in.
6) Don't expect us to take everything you don't like off your tab.
7) If we brought you something you didn't order, send it right back. We have to charge you if you eat it.
8) Don't get mad when your well done steaks take a long time to cook. They take a long time to be WELL DONE.
9) Always remember, we are there to serve you within reason. Don't be afraid to ask for something (even if they aren't your server).
10) We aren't fcuking with your food. Don't accuse us of it.

Are You Being Served?

The other day Kristen came home SUPER excited because she JUST got a NEW DIGITAL CAMERA. Well, the little green monster came out in this one here and I decided I wanted one, too (no offense to sister, who bought me one two years ago Christmas, but that one is so big people make fun of me at social gatherings). I shopped around online to get a good idea of what it was I wanted. I narrowed it down to two Nikons and finally decided on this one.
Well I went to Sears first because I wanted to get some stuff in hardware too. I was in hardware for at least fifteen minutes and no one even said hi to me. I went over to electronics, in some vain attempt at service. Not a chance. EVERYONE around me was being helped. But not George. I went to Wal-Mart next. I didn't feel as frustrated at not being helped because nobody was helping anybody there. It was a very hostile environment. FINALLY, my real world search ended at CompUSA. This inspired me to give up on the whole concept of customer service. No one acknowledged me except for the guy who asked me to leave my bookbag at the door. I was in there for 30 minutes. Just chilling. In one spot. They weren't busy. At all. Kristen said she got the same treatment. She went to BestBuy and got GREAT service, but out BestBuy is out of walking distance. Dear sister says she doesn't get service at CompUSA either unless she is with her boyfriend. Then he gets service, really, still not her. So I just went online and got the goods. And that's how it goes. I don't think I should buy something from somewhere that doesn't say hi to me. If they don't want me there, I don't want to shop there. Not when I get paid to say "Hi, how are you?" to EVERYONE who walks in the restaurant. Even the people who are drunk from the Mai Tai bar and are going to the pee room. Even when I am SO incredibly busy I think my head will explode, I still say "ALOHA!" to everybody. Don't stand for it. No hello, no sale is what I say. Let's put the "ality" back in "hospitality" or something like that. Close your wallets to those closed mouths.

Waiting

I just saw Waiting. The movie was HILARIOUS!!! Well, some of you may think so. I can see how it wouldn't be as funny to people who don't work in a restaurant. There were many parts I found myself being the only one laughing at. There is this one part where the staff sings a birthday song and they make this kid cry, and we sing the same exact birthday song to our customers. I couldn't stop laughing! I think you should definitely see it if you get he chance.

Sad Day

The good news is I have enough money to come home. The bad news is I can't get the time off (from either job, they both have blackouts in Dec) to come home. It seems as if this will be the first X-mas without TN friends, family, or cold weather. Don't worry though, I will be asking tomorrow for summer off (all of it), and I would welcome any visitors at anytime. Also, I won't be spending it alone. Kristen (my roommate for those who don't know) also can't get off work for X-mas, so we are going to decorate a tree and do Christmasy things together. And get VERY VERY drunk (another traditional X-mas activity in our family).
Love and Kisses

Sad Day

During our five minute meeting at Bubbas the other day, we were told that the corporation has put up something like $100,000 for the other Bubbas in New Orleans. Employees are supposed to give money and raise money from customers to match. As of then, only 23 of 124 employees had been found. Now the number is half, but most of them have no possesions and we still have of 60 missing. So sad.

Who Is, Who Isn't?

Is a Super Good Friend's (who is a guy) roommate (also a guy) off limits? I mean on a weirdness scale 1-10 (1 being minimum awkward breaks in conversation and 10 being never being able to meet each other's eyes, no phone calls, and the end of quality hang out time) how wierd would a guy go in that situation? I'd be stoked if one of my guy friend's started dating one of my roommates, but guys are always the ones starting drama.

Holy Moly!

So my fellow O-chem students and I were talking and we came up with a question... Is it true you have to get at least a B in O-chem to get into Med School? I'm gunning for an A anyways because of my scholarship, but the added pressure is kind of eesh!

And how do I have two jobs and still not make enough to cover my bills and eat? I can do one or the other, but not both. I get free super-good meal at Hiroshi's, but since I stopped working there four times a week, I've lost weight, and not in a healthy "I've been working out way; gee, don't I look buff?".

My Piece of Flare

I didn't quit my old job. I simply have them make my schedual around my other scheduals and I still get my employee discount.

You know ChaChis in Officie Space and how it grates on Jennifer Anniston? That's how I feel. One of the managers actually said "we need to break you out of this shell you've created around yourself." I feel that the customers like me and that's all that matters....right?

Why I'm Not Upset Anymore

I'm not upset at the stupid ass credit collector guy trying to get me to pay a bill that wasn't mine by yelling at me until I have to tell him to "Stop yelling at me!" anymore because he lives in a SARS and water-borne disease ridden part India in a one bedroom with 12 other relatives with no girlfriend or a wife he was married to when he was 15 and doesn't love and can't get any from because he lives in a one bedroom with 12 other people in dirty, nasty, SARS infested India. I live in Hawaii in an apartment with my own room where I can get laid whenever I want and can drink the water without boiling it. Plus I'm filing a complaint. That makes me happy too.

Wardrobe Malfunction

Ususally these come in the form of busted straps, but this time it was different. I went to a club with the girls only yo have my pant zipper break and then my seam split all the way down to my crotch. Luckily my shirt was long enough to cover the mishap, but I couldn't sit, dance or do anything like that. What a downer on the entire night.

The Jorb

I got a new job at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. I'm a server there and my first day is on Sunday. Now I just have to quit my old one.

Back in Hawaii

I'm BAAAAACK! I got back to the big H-I Wed. night. I got back to find two people have been living in my living room. I knew about one of them, and I'm cool with her. In fact, she might move in with the two of us. The other one was someone who was an overnight guest of Kristen's one night and just stayed. Way. past. his. welcome. I'm giving him until this Wed. before I give him the "you are in my space, get out" talk. I also came bakc to find work "replaced" me while I was away, and they will call when they need me (code:we'll call you when somebody quits). Whatever. They didn't pay for poo anyways. Also ex-roommate still owes me $200 for the last month of rent on our apt. Ahhhh, to be back. On a positive not, my tan is coming back and we met some of our neighbors. Additionally, the community rules have changed and we are allowed to grill on out lanai now, but it's only propane or gas grill. Fire Marshal says "NO CHARCOAL!". I don't care, bring on the burgers!!

Stalker Update

After getting totally grilled by the shop on who I was (apparently he has real stalker who follows him and once said "if I can't have you I'll kill myself" to which he replied "do you need something to help you do it?") I got through to this crazy kid. He was, to say the least, very excited to hear from me. He kept telling all hi coworkers to shut up because I'm someone he hasn't talked to in yonks. The were all very understanding and kept turning up loud music and making lewd comments into the telephone. Fabulous. I suggest everybody tries to suprise an old friend. The expressions they let loose are more than enough to entertain.

My Stalker Tendencies

The other day I was talking to a good friend of mine when we got onthe topic of or past relationships; who sucked giant donkey dongs, and who was actuallt good to us until the point of us cutting the relationship off. Two of the three of mine were accounted for. One's married to somebody everybody hates and all his friends say they liked me 50x better. RS and I still talk about once a week. This other one, JP, is still out in the wind. He was all ready to move to Hawaii last Jan. for me, but I told him not to because it would be a bad, bad, bad idea. He stoped talking to me and he has moved and gotten a new email address. I wanted to track him down and touch base with him because I have a problem sayng hasta la vista permanente to good people. This is how I tracked him down in slightly stalker terms.
1. Develop a plan. Sounds stupid, but mine was track him down through his profesion. He's a tattoo artist and they actually are relatively easy to find if you know how to look. I was going to google him, but if that didn't work I would call his old shop and find out where he was.
2. Google. The most underestimated way to start a stalk.
3. Find an article with his name and shop and profession.
4. This particular article was from somewhere I didn'texpect him to end up so I REALLY wanted to make sure it was him. Unfortunately the only picture they had of the staff of the shop was their forearms.
5. Think back to the tattoos on his left frearm (he has a pach on his right one with a guitar wrapped around it. The right would have been easy). I vaguely remembered the tattoo but I wanted to make sure it wasn't just wishful thinking on my part.
6. Find a picture of him. This was difficult because my picture box is in KY. Found one, but his arm ended right below his elbow. I ended up matching just a couple lines (with help of the good friend with whom I had the canversation that started this bit of nostalgia) and realized, yeah its him.
7. Tried finding a listing for the shop, but could only find a listing for it's sister shop.
8. Emailed newspaper that ran story for info. Got it.
9. This step is the hardest, haven't done it yet. I've been staring at the phone being to chicken shit to call. I guess after and entire day of looking, I should probably do something.

If becoming a doctor doesn't work, I guess I could always go into being a PI or a professioal stalker.

My Roommate's Boyfriend Is an Ass

He's an ass because...
-He just lays on th couch all day and dominates MY tv remote
-He gets mad at K for playing with her guy friends (mine too, he calls them losers), but it's ok to play with his girl friends.
-Called out place a pig sty because it's cluttered, yet he doesn't take out the trash he generates.
-Left me in another town, at night, without a ride because me haircut took too long when K ASKED him if he wanted to come (she was perfectly capable of driving me)
-This morning I made coffee and he critisized me beause I was putting some of the extra back in the bag (I put too much in)
-Argued with me that Korn was on one cd we were listening to (they had nothign to do with the cd) and then got mad at me when I showed him the cd cover and proved to him they weren't (he likes Good Charlotte and argues with me about a metal cd, idiot). He actually stormed out of the room and stopped talking to me.
-Won't move K's bed down to our apt because he wants her to get a U-Haul which she doesn't have money for when they are perfectly capable of doing it themselves if he helps. She and I moved all of her stuff down already.
-Admits he has a drinking problem, but won't do anything about it.
-He stomped on the air matress I was sleeping on once and laughed.
-Thinks I am unhappy single and tries to hook me up with all his friends which makes me feel uncomfortable.
-Thinks he is SO superior, but is so stupid he didn't know what stem cells were (or the word differentiated when K and I tried to explain stem cells)

He's just a self-centered prick who I just can't stand to be around. I like a whole host of her ex's (actually we both are still friends with all but maybe one of them) but I don't like him. If he doesn't agree with something he calls you an idiot or stupid, and when you talk back and stand up to him, he gets angry. ASSHOLEY-OLI-O!!

My Restaurant...

Likes to ass rape me. I've been working the Japanese side of the restaurant making shit money when I ALWAYS work on the Italian side. They've been giving the private parties on the Italian side to the male food runner who doesn't even know the table numbers in there, doesn't ever work there, and has been working for the company half as long as I have. So while I'm making $20 buncks a night and getting bitched at ALL the time for stupid shit (like being yelled at for not being prepared with steak knives after the party stole all but 10 in the restaurant for their private party I should have been working), he's making upwards of $100 while I am polishing all the silver and carrying up all the dishes. Favoritism much?

Excitement?

Today is K's and my hous warming party. I want to show off my cute new (short black w/ bangs) haircut, but I hope everyone gets here early because I have to work. Just so everybody knows, I'll be home June 2 or 3...Just in time for Blue Plum. I am excited. Hope to see you there...

For your viewing pleasure, a picture of my latest body mod (if you look closely you can see where the artist blocked out another artists nape piercing. The piercings are vertical bars which are very straight, but look at a slight angle because I was leaning.

Republican Babe of the Week?

I'm sorry, did anybody else know this existed? FoxNews Anchor Babes won the Republican Babe of the week some time in the past. The Jersey GOP has a Republican Babe of the Week. I'm not sure what kind f message they are trying to send here, but I don't like it. If I vote republican, will I look like these gorgeous women? I want to see the Republican Hot Men for the week.

I mean, if these ladies don't make you want to vote Rpublican, I don't know what will. Maybe if they were naked and nude with no clothes on.

News Hounds

They watch FOX so we don't have to.

MySpace Invasion

It has gotten out of control. I actually had to set up some stupid MySpace account to get in touch with somebody I knew had it. I have this lame ass profile with NO picture NO blog NO anything. I just wanted to send somebody at home a message without worrying about the stupid time difference. I am sick of hearing "Are you on MySpace?" No, I'm not fucking on MySpace. I have better things to do with my time than search online all day for people who live in my area. Sometimes I think I should make that stupid thing look cool so I don't feel left out when people ask me if I am on it or not. I mean realy, what's the point?
